This 45 that has a lot of connections to the 80s Irish music scene.  Released in 1983 on Dead On Records, the label was created by the former co-manager of The Nips, Phil Glaston along with Deirdre O'Mahony.  The Nips of course were an early band of Shane McGowan who went on The Pogues.

Basically the story goes that Phil Glaston had always wanted to make a cowboy record and this was it.  Phil was the lead singer "Big Dusty" along with Phil Chevron as "Johnny Jukebox" (Phil is better known as the lead guitarist with The Pogues). "Wild Slim Mustapha" was Ben Mandleson from 3 Mustapha 3. 

"Chopper" was Ray Cooper (aka Chopper) also from 3 Mustapha 3 and later The Oyster Band. "Hank Raven" was Charles O'Connor from The Horslips and "Paddy Guitar Paddy" was Jimmy Crashe former drummer with The Radiators.

The cover for the release was an A3 printed sheet folded to house the record.  It was designed by Dee O'Mahony (Deirdre) who is know these days as a prominent Ireland based visual artist with work in the Irish Museum of Modern Art.

As said this was a project by Phil Glaston to record a cowboy record. Having achieved that goal there were no further recordings by The Mighty Clouds Of Dust and likewise nothing else released by the label Dead On Records.

The Kinks Drivin' / Mindless Child Of Motherhood BMG BMGCAT407BOX6 (2019) This Kinks' 45 was originally released in 1969 on the Pye record label in the UK.  The A side was taken from the album "Arthur (Or The Decline And Fall Of The British Empire)," more often referred to as simply "Arthur."  "Arthur" was a concept album, written as a soundtrack to an intended TV show that was never produced.  Basically it revolved around the story of Arthur Morgan, a carpet-layer, who was based on Ray and guitarist Dave Davies' brother-in-law Arthur Anning who emigrated with their sister Rose to Australia in 1964.   Her departure devastated Ray, and it inspired him to write the song "Rosy Won't You Please Come Home" which was released on the 1966 album "Face to Face". The Animals The Animals Is Here EP Columbia SEG 8374 (1964) An early EP from the original lineup of the band namely vocalist Eric Burdon, guitarist Hilton Valentine, bass guitarist Chas Chandler, keyboardist Alan Price and drummer John Steel.  The group formed in Newcastle upon Tyne during 1962 and 1963 when Burdon joined the Alan Price Rhythm and Blues Combo and they performed as the Alan Price Combo. They later changed their name to the Animals. They were supposedly dubbed "animals" because of their wild stage act, and the name stuck. Known for their gritty, bluesy sound, they balanced tough, rock-edged pop singles against rhythm-and-blues-oriented album material and were part of the British Invasion of the US. FLAC
