Roman Stewart (also known as Romeo Stewart) was born in Kingston Jamaica on 11 May 1957.  Releasing his first 45 single in 1968, he released around 50 45s in Jamaica during the 70s and 80s.  He also had some success in the UK releasing 45s on several reggae labels such as Island and Camel.

Although not as well known as some for his peers, during his career he recorded with most of the big reggae producers including Phil Pratt, Everton Da Silva, Gussie P and Linval Thompson (who produced this 45).  

Having left Jamaica in 1976 for New York, he remained there until his death in January 2004.

Tenpole Tudor Wunderbar / Tenpole 45 Stiff Buy 120 (1981) Tenpole Tudor were a punk band fronted by Eddie (Edward) Tudor-Pole. The band (and in particular Eddie) were first noticed when he appeared in the Sex Pistols' film The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle and on three of the singles released from the soundtrack. At one point (prior to the band folding) he was touted as a replacement singer for Johnny Rotten (John Lydon).  Initially releasing a 45 in 1980 on Korova Records, this was their 3rd single on Stiff Records and it reached #16 in the UK charts. As well as his musical career Eddie has appeared in numerous film roles including Sid and Nancy, Harry Potter and Les Misérables. He also fronted the TV show The Crystal Maze for 28 episodes in the 1990's. BUY 120

The Animals The Animals Is Here EP Columbia SEG 8374 (1964) An early EP from the original lineup of the band namely vocalist Eric Burdon, guitarist Hilton Valentine, bass guitarist Chas Chandler, keyboardist Alan Price and drummer John Steel.  The group formed in Newcastle upon Tyne during 1962 and 1963 when Burdon joined the Alan Price Rhythm and Blues Combo and they performed as the Alan Price Combo. They later changed their name to the Animals. They were supposedly dubbed "animals" because of their wild stage act, and the name stuck. Known for their gritty, bluesy sound, they balanced tough, rock-edged pop singles against rhythm-and-blues-oriented album material and were part of the British Invasion of the US. FLAC
