Originating from Carlisle in the north of England this band was formed in 2008 by Mark Emmerson and Wayne Jefferson along with Luke Anderson and Mike Denton.

Although the majority of their releases were on Holy Are You Recordings, this was a one off limited edition of 750 copies (375 on olive vinyl and 375 on blue) released on the Fruits De Mer label subsidiary, Regal Crabomophone. The 7" single plays at 33⅓ rpm. The a side features a Mark Emmerson composition and the flip is a cover of a 60s psychedelic track originally recorded by The Factory. 

The Lucid Dream have been compared to the likes of Spacemen 3, Suicide and The Jesus and Mary Chain, along with comparisons citing The Byrds, Primal Scream and The Monkees. 

Despite acclaim from the likes of NME and BBC6 Music, at the end of 2023 the band decided to call it day and parted ways.

Various Artists Monsieur Gainsbourg Revisited EP Polydor 9839472 (2006) An English language tribute album to the works of the late Serge Gainsbourg was released in 2006 and from the album this limited edition EP was produced.  The actual release is not an EP per say but 2 x 7" vinyl discs in a gatefold sleeve (normally referred to as a double pack). Regardless of the format name here are 4 great English versions of Gainsbourg's work.  Tracks 1-3 are featured on the original album whilst track 4 was only (initially) available via this "EP".  My favourite is Cat Power & Karen Elson's "I Love You (Me Either)" the English version of "Je T'aime Moi Non Plus" .   The song was written in 1967 for Brigitte Bardot and she sang on the original recorded version .  Although she was in a relationship with Gainsbourg, she was at the time of recording still married to the German millionaire playboy Gunter Sachs. Vibravoid Kraut Rock Sensation EP Fruits De Mer CRUSTACEAN 07 (2009) Another great slab of vinyl from the Fruits De Mer label featuring the band Vibravoid who hail from Dusseldorf, Germany. The original plan for the label was for long lost rock classics to be re-released however licensing the music was I assume very difficult and expensive so the label moved into having rare and classic rock being re-recorded as cover versions. This EP was a limited release of 300 copies so finding a copy these days is difficult.  On the EP the tracks being covered are: Kraftwerk's Ruckzuck  Amon Duul II's Eye Shaking King Can's Mother Sky Mashantra's Rauchkraut FLAC
