Esther Phillips (December 23, 1935 – August 7, 1984) was an American singer. Phillips was known for her R&B vocals, but she was a versatile singer, also performing pop, country, jazz, blues and soul music.

This 45 was released during her time at Kudu records where she released seven albums and several singles including the GRAMMY nominated "Home Is Where The Hatred Is".

She continued to release music until her early death aged only 48 due to liver and kidney failure, both relating to drug use.

Vibravoid Kraut Rock Sensation EP Fruits De Mer CRUSTACEAN 07 (2009) Another great slab of vinyl from the Fruits De Mer label featuring the band Vibravoid who hail from Dusseldorf, Germany. The original plan for the label was for long lost rock classics to be re-released however licensing the music was I assume very difficult and expensive so the label moved into having rare and classic rock being re-recorded as cover versions. This EP was a limited release of 300 copies so finding a copy these days is difficult.  On the EP the tracks being covered are: Kraftwerk's Ruckzuck  Amon Duul II's Eye Shaking King Can's Mother Sky Mashantra's Rauchkraut FLAC

The White Stripes Candy Cane Children / Story Of The Magi - Silent Night XL Recordings WSXMAS 1 (2002) Christmas cheer from Jack & Meg White aka The White Stripes.  The A side was recorded 1998 and the  flip side 2002, both at Third Man Studios, Soutwest Detroit.   This UK version of the 45 was limited to 1000 copies. The US version was pressed on white vinyl.  The 45 was re-released on Third Man Records in 2010. The White Stripes wish you and yours a wonderful Christmas this, and every year.
