Truly Smith was born Josie Taylor in Warrington, England and began her singing career using that name.  

Signed to Decca Records in 1966 she adopted her new name and released several singles however she failed to make any real impression on the music scene. Frustrated by her lack of success, in 1968 following her final single which was released on the MGM label she left the music scene and took up a new career in teaching eventually becoming a head teacher/principal,

Both sides of this 45 feature Bacharach and David songs and were directed by Ivor Raymonde.

Vibravoid Kraut Rock Sensation EP Fruits De Mer CRUSTACEAN 07 (2009) Another great slab of vinyl from the Fruits De Mer label featuring the band Vibravoid who hail from Dusseldorf, Germany. The original plan for the label was for long lost rock classics to be re-released however licensing the music was I assume very difficult and expensive so the label moved into having rare and classic rock being re-recorded as cover versions. Marion Ryan  (4 February 1931 – 15 January 1999)  was a popular British singer in the 50s & 60s, once called "the Marilyn Monroe of popular song".  Most of her output is referred to as run of the mill pop but the "A" side of a 1968 release, although not experiencing any chart success at the time, found acceptance during the 1970s on the Northern Soul dance scene. The US version was pressed on white vinyl.  The 45 was re-released on Third Man Records in 2010. The White Stripes wish you and yours a wonderful Christmas this, and every year.
