Originating from East Kilbride in Scotland, The Jesus And Mary Chain are a band that revolves around the brothers Jim and William Reid. Past member of the band have included Bobby Gillespie who left to form Primal Scream.

This 45, issued as part of the 40th Anniversary package for The Jesus and Mary Chain's Psychocandy album, showcases the contrasting styles of this band; loud, raucous noise and soft gentle melody.

The Third Man Records vault series from which this originates is a subscription service that has four issues a year of limited edition records and other items such as DVDs, photos, patches etc.  The Jesus and Mary Chain release comprised of the original album pressed on candy blue and candy pink vinyl, a live album and this 45 pressed on metallic gold vinyl.  It was the 65th release in the series.

Tenpole Tudor Wunderbar / Tenpole 45 Stiff Buy 120 (1981) Tenpole Tudor were a punk band fronted by Eddie (Edward) Tudor-Pole. The band (and in particular Eddie) were first noticed when he appeared in the Sex Pistols' film The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle and on three of the singles released from the soundtrack. At one point (prior to the band folding) he was touted as a replacement singer for Johnny Rotten (John Lydon).  Initially releasing a 45 in 1980 on Korova Records, this was their 3rd single on Stiff Records and it reached #16 in the UK charts. As well as his musical career Eddie has appeared in numerous film roles including Sid and Nancy, Harry Potter and Les Misérables. He also fronted the TV show The Crystal Maze for 28 episodes in the 1990's. BUY 120

The Animals The Animals Is Here EP Columbia SEG 8374 (1964) An early EP from the original lineup of the band namely vocalist Eric Burdon, guitarist Hilton Valentine, bass guitarist Chas Chandler, keyboardist Alan Price and drummer John Steel.  The group formed in Newcastle upon Tyne during 1962 and 1963 when Burdon joined the Alan Price Rhythm and Blues Combo and they performed as the Alan Price Combo. They later changed their name to the Animals. They were supposedly dubbed "animals" because of their wild stage act, and the name stuck. Known for their gritty, bluesy sound, they balanced tough, rock-edged pop singles against rhythm-and-blues-oriented album material and were part of the British Invasion of the US. FLAC
