Beastie Boys have over time sold in excess of 20 million records just in the USA with several platinum albums included in that tally.

Originating from a hardcore punk band called The  Young Aborigines they first appeared in 1985 with a comedy hip hop single called Cooky Puss. A tour supporting Madonna followed and their first album Licensed to Ill  was released in 1986.

This CD single, taken from the album Hello Nasty, won them the Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group. The album also won the Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album. This was the first time a band won awards in both rap and alternative categories.

Vibravoid Kraut Rock Sensation EP Fruits De Mer CRUSTACEAN 07 (2009) Another great slab of vinyl from the Fruits De Mer label featuring the band Vibravoid who hail from Dusseldorf, Germany. The original plan for the label was for long lost rock classics to be re-released however licensing the music was I assume very difficult and expensive so the label moved into having rare and classic rock being re-recorded as cover versions. This EP was a limited release of 300 copies so finding a copy these days is difficult.  On the EP the tracks being covered are: Kraftwerk's Ruckzuck  Amon Duul II's Eye Shaking King Can's Mother Sky Mashantra's Rauchkraut FLAC

Marion Ryan  (4 February 1931 – 15 January 1999)  was a popular British singer in the 50s & 60s, once called "the Marilyn Monroe of popular song".  Most of her output is referred to as run of the mill pop but the "A" side of a 1968 release, although not experiencing any chart success at the time, found acceptance during the 1970s on the Northern Soul dance scene. The US version was pressed on white vinyl.  The 45 was re-released on Third Man Records in 2010. The White Stripes wish you and yours a wonderful Christmas this, and every year.
